A fun read.

Good luck reading Drew Magary's latest column and not ordering a burrito for lunch

This isn't the exact burrito Drew Magary had, but it's probably very good.

I did not come to San Francisco to eat. This is unlike me. It’s unlike anyone who comes to this town. When you go to San Francisco, you eat. You’d be a fool to have any other objective in mind. And lord knows I had traveled to San Francisco to get my eat on many times before.

I’d had shaking beef at The Slanted Door before that restaurant moved to the Ferry Building, and then I went back to its current location and had the shaking beef again. I’d been to State Bird Provisions and tolerated all of their small plate preciousness just so that I could enjoy a $10 bite of pork belly salad (worth it, but they’re on notice). I’d eaten at Gaspare’s pizza with my sister for lunch and then, eager to make the most of my stay, treated myself to a SECOND lunch in Chinatown that same afternoon. Zero regrets. As an East Coast guy, I knew that this city offered flavors that I could not, and would not, ever find back home. So I always made a point of taking advantage of this fact whenever I was in town.
