FiRE + iCE Interactive Grill & Bar, an all-you-can-eat buffet chain with locations in South Lake Tahoe, Anaheim and Boston, has landed on San Francisco’s Pier 39. Just steps from Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and the sea lion viewing area, the Benihana-esque restaurant plans to celebrate its grand opening on July 9.
At FiRE + iCE, diners pile up their bowls with their choice of vegetables, meat, pasta, sauces and more and then hand them to the grill masters, who cook the food on a large, open grill with dramatic flair. Diners can craft everything from steak fajitas to chicken-and-broccoli ziti. The spacious Pier 39 restaurant offers waterfront views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, in a space formerly home to Japanese restaurant Hana Zen.
“The Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District is excited to welcome FiRE + iCE’s innovative dining concept to our historic waterfront,” said Bri Maughan, executive director of the district, in a news release. “Their interactive culinary experience and create-your-own-meal concept add a fresh dimension to the Wharf’s dining scene that complements the authentic San Francisco flavors our community is known for.”
