If you haven’t caught the huge posthumous retrospective exhibit of San Francisco native and artist, Ruth Asawa’s works at the SFMOMA yet, I highly suggest you do before it goes to New York and then its final showing in Barcelona (unless you want an excuse to visit these fine cities). It’s amazing. The show closes on September 2.
Asawa’s San Francisco works not going on the road are the public fountains and statues the city is lucky to have. I’ve been meaning to go to the sites of these works, but haven’t done so yet. So, what better excuse than taking a free walking tour of Asawa’s works?
