Movie Night - Craig Smith's Movie Tour

Craig Movie 1
craig

Join us for a very special showing of Craig's Movie tour.   2 minutes short of two hours, this presentation is sure to bring back memories and create new inspiration to personally view some of the movie locations.  Craig himself will be in attendance and will be ready to answer questions and provide additional comments.  For starters, his logistical challenges in the day are recalled here:

Growing up in Bay Area, whenever I saw a film filmed the city, I would go up and find the locations.
The first one I remember was; "The Pleasure of His Company” with Fred Astaire, Debbie Reynolds and Tab Hunter.
That was 1961, no Google and I couldn’t see the film at will, no copies then. With my memory of that one showing, I’d find the house,
It was the Chalmer’s House; Divisadero and Vallejo (also used in scenes from Bullitt)
I got the idea in 2000 and it took me 2 yrs of research and editing on my iMac. There are over 1000 movies made in the City.
I was doing it for about 4 yrs when a guy called me who was creating his SF Movie Tour (he’d already done Carmel/Monterrey)
He threatened to sue me; he had the patent already for every major city in US. I changed mine to SF Moving Movie Tour.

When Craig gave the original tours, in a bus (remember those) some of the tributes he received were:

I loved the way Craig had everything so well coordinated and planned. Driving around the City is difficult and it was wonderfully done.

What a delightful experience to do a movie tour in San Francisco.

The tour director, Craig was a born speaker. Good sense of humor, wonderful film information.

I was thrilled that even though I am disabled I could go/everyone was so thoughtful and helpful.

The tour was fantastic. Craig did a great job, very informative, so many interesting and beautiful things to see.

Craig certainly knows his way around and was so considerate of the passengers.

Fabulous tour and views of the City.

Four star tour!

Several people purchased Craig Smith's video, they thought the narration and clips were so well done. They also collected an additional tip, they were so impressed with Craig.
