The Moral Dilemma of the Buffalo Soldiers

SFTGG celebrates Black History Month with a presentation focusing on the Buffalo Soldiers, an all-Black cavalry and infantry regiments created in 1866 to serve in the Western frontier, and the role they had in the Presidio of San Francisco.
The omission of the Buffalo Soldier's story from most standard history books exposes gaping holes in the fabric of America's national identity.   How many other important pieces of our history have been lost over time??

Rik Penn is a retired National Park Ranger and a Vietnam War Veteran.  He has presented these talks and presentations on local and national TV  & radio broadcasts, at colleges and elementary schools and for historical societies.
