From Post to Park
For over 200 years of Presidio history, change has been a constant - from a small Spanish fort, to a Civil War fort, to a major American military post, to a National Park. Hear stories about each era of the Presidio’s history, including a doomed love affair, desertions, a Union spy, fears of invasion, buildings of note, and visions for an urban park.

Also celebrating their 40th anniversary, we‘ll be visiting the Shipyard Trust, the largest artists‘ community in the country, on a special tour on July 24th with Barbara Ockel, the President and CEO of the Shipyard Trust as our docent.
